Neptune Krill Oil
Neptune Krill Oil

100% pure krill oil. Powerful omega-3 formula. Ensures better absorption in comparison to fish oil and flaxseed oil.

Has a beneficial effect on:

  • Brain fatigue
  • Lack of concentration
  • Poor memory
  • Cardiovascular system

Neptune Krill Oil is extracted from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba). Krill is a floating mass of translucent shrimp-like crustaceans that are about the size of three cm. Krill is classified as zooplankton and eats algae. Krill oil is extremely rich in phospholipids bounded with omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), so it is easy to be absorbed.

Neptune Krill Oil is recommended for the maintenance of the cardiovascular system and joints. Has a very beneficial effect on cholesterol levels and heart rate. Significantly relieves symptoms of the premenstrual syndrome. Powerful antioxidant.

NKO® was awarded with the prize "Best Product of 2010". The prestigious recognition for Neptune Krill Oil is related to the fact, that many scientific studies indisputably prove its effectiveness and that its production complies with the highest quality standards.

What is so special about Neptune Krill Oil™?

Neptune Krill Oil ™ is obtained by the patented process Neptune OceanExtract ™

Neptune OceanExtract ™ process ensures cold extraction method, thanks to which the bioactive capabilities of derived components are stored maximum well. In this method, there is no possibility of microbial contamination, any heavy metals, polychlorinated biphenyls, dioxins and pesticides. The product contains no preservatives; its stability is guaranteed by the exceptional natural antioxidant potential of Neptune Krill Oil ™.

Neptune Krill Oil ™ is a powerful natural antioxidant

The natural formula of Neptune Krill Oil ™ contains vitamin A, vitamin E, astaxanthin and marine flavonoid, which is the only found source of flavonoids of animal origin until now.

Neptune Krill Oil ™ is a source of phospholipids and choline

Phospholipids are structural components of cell membranes.

Choline is a precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (1 g krill oil contains 73 mg choline).

Oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities in biological samples in vitro. With this method, it was found that Neptune Krill Oil ™ ORAC is:

  • > 47 times higher than omega-3 (18:12) in fish oil
  • > 34 times higher than coenzyme Q10
  • > 6.5 times higher than lycopene
  • > 4.0 times higher than cranberry
  • > 2.6 times higher than elderberry

Neptune Krill Oil ™ are subjected to rigorous safety tests

11 times higher than the recommended for humans dose NKO™ was administered on laboratory animals for a period of six months. The product did not induce any adverse effects, which has been found by microscopic observation of various tissues (brain, lung, heart, stomach, pancreas, liver, kidney, uterus, prostate, intestine and skin).

Physical, biochemical and hematological tests performed in healthy volunteers (25 people) show that NKO ™ does not induce any adverse effects. The volunteers were taking 6 grams of krill oil per day (divided into 3 doses, of 2 g each).

The omega-3 fatty acids found in Neptune Krill Oil ™, are more quickly and better absorbed

As phospholipids (as in the krill oil), omega-3 fatty acids are absorbed partly undigested in the gastrointestinal tract, as opposed to the omega-3 fatty acids as triglycerides (as in fish oil), which must be digested first.

Krill oil is suitable for administration to patients with cystic fibrosis, in which the digestion of fat is disturbed.

As phospholipids (as in the krill oil), omega-3 fatty acids are dissolved better in the intestinal lumen than the omega-3 fatty acids as triglycerides. This is because triglycerides require bile to be decomposed correctly.

It is recommended that patients with impaired function of the gall bladder and those in which the gall bladder is removed to accept oil from krill as a dietary supplement.

Description: randomized, double-blind study in humans

Dosage: standardized to 120 mg EPA and DHA per day.

Results: NKO shows better increase of omega-3 index * and provides higher bioavailability of EPA and DHA as compared to other sources of omega-3.

*Omega-3 Index: a new risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Indicates the amount of EPA and DHA in red blood cells to total fatty acids. The closer to 8 as a value, the less is the risk of heart disease.

Dosage

The maintenance dose is 500 mg NKO daily. Therapeutic doses are 1-2 g per day.

To reduce the inflammatory markers (CRP) in rheumatoid arthritis: 1 g NKO daily.

Joint health: 1 g NKO daily.
